Second Trimester

• September 16,2002 - Ob appointment to go over blood sugar levels. Having problems with pain in my tail bone. Dr. Wagner suggested an Osteopath. Babies heart beat was at 158bpm today. Weight gain at this point was down to 2 lbs. This is due to my strict diabetic diet.
• September 20,2002 - Sonogram today. Picture at top of page. Alex and I were so happy to see our little baby moving around . The baby measured 14 weeks 1 day. The baby had it's hands in his mouth at one point and I swore he waved at us. His legs were curled up to his belly. The baby was looking right at us for great face shots.
• September 30,2002 - I had another Sonogram done today due to some very light spotting .They measured the cervix and took more pictures. The baby was kicking his little feel like crazy. The heartbeat was 132bpm. Everything looked great. The sex of the baby could be seen today but we asked not to know.
• October 2,2002 - First kicks felt. I was feeling a little vibration as the baby was moving last week but this week I can feel kicks.
• October 22,2002 - I had my Level 2 Ultrasound today. It looked great. All the limbs, heart and brain measure normal. We just love looking at our baby.
• November 19,2002 - OB appointment today. Heartbeat is at 158bpm. I am having a lot of problems with my blood sugars. My numbers have been very high, which makes me spend most of the day with my head down. OB has now put me on an oral insulin.
• December 2,2002 - I had an Ultrasound today. It looked great. The baby was moving around so much that I had to have the sonogram done in 3 stages. He/She had it's arms in front on the heart so it was hard to get a good picture.
