Third Trimester

• December 31, 2002 - Second level 2 Sonogram today (No great pictures). Everything looks GREAT! "Happy New Year Joey"
• January 12, 2003 - Everything is beginning to change for the worse. I am in a lot of pain with my back and tail bone. The swelling in my face is getting worse. I was diagnosed with Edema. It's a whole new ball game now that I am in the third trimester. Joey gets the hiccups 2-3 times a day now.
• January 30, 2003 - First non-stress test. Joey passed with flying colors.
• February 8, 2003 - I had my baby shower today. I was very surprised. Alex took me to the gym and when we got home everyone was at our house. Thank goodness I showered at the gym. I received so my nice, much needed baby items!
• February 19, 2003 - I came down with hives all over my body. The doctor says it is a rare virus that causes hives and flu like symptoms. The drug that I was put on made me sleep all the time and made Joey not move for 3 days so they changed my medication to a level 2 drug which helped in making me and Joey much less lethargic. My cold symptoms are just awful. I can't stop coughing.
• February 26, 2003 - I went into labor and delivered a beautiful baby boy by emergency c-section. We named him Noah, although our family thought we should have kept the name Joey but that was our in-uteral name for him. By day 3 it became clear to us that Noah had kidney issues due to a blood clot that blocked off his IVC. He spent his first 30 days of life in the N.I.C.U at Maine Medical Center. He did loose his right kidney but other than that he is very healthy. Noah's web page
